My first impression after watching high-energy Vices concerns the true love that Nina Hartley and Alexis Greco must have for each other ... in real life! Rarely has lesbian lovemaking reached such erotic proportions in an adult film. The three times they delve into each other's pretty bodies provide erotic highs for any fan of lesbian lust.
In this film, they play two investigators on the trail of Vanessa Del Rio's sleazy live sex club. It seems as though Del Rio has an overpowering, hypnotic effect on anyone who tastes her feminine hygiene. Women and men who work at this club end up as her slaves. But, the kicker is that nobody gets to penetrate her, for that would break the spell.
Only Billy Dee, the chief of police, gets to test the power of her fluff and that hot scene on a table at film's end is worth the wait if you are a Vanessa fan. Keli Richards struts her slutty stuff, first dominating two lesser men, then strapping on a fake penis for her three-way with Hartley and Greco. And the other steamy scene involves leather-clad Barbara Dare on stage with a masked man (Francois Papillon) who gets completely ravaged by the sexy starlet.
The plot of high-energy Vices does eventually become convoluted, and you never get the feeling that Del Rio actually owns these magical powers. Dee, Greco and (surprisingly) Hartley are very unconvincing in their respective parts. But the film does revel in true eroticism, with crisp pacing and editing and a nice array of settings for the sexual stuff. Sexually, high-energy Vices ends up to be a hardcore delight. - Reviewed by Thomas McMahon AVN 1987
