California Exotic Novelties sent us the new Waterproof Power Stud Rod for free in exchange for an honest review. Our review was not influenced at all by California Exotic.

Our first thought when pulling this vibrator from it's package was, is this silicone? It feels like it could have been silicone because of it's super smooth satin finish that is seamless and pliable and firm. After further inspection of the packaging we found that it is not silicone but rather PVC rubber. The material is phthalate free and body safe and is pretty much odorless. Since it is not made from silicone it is safe to use this vibrator with all personal lubricants, so for all you silicone lube fans you can use silicone lubricants with this vibrator.

The vibrator has a insertable length of seven inches, and a maximum width of one and a half inches. There is a penis shaped head and large raised veins running down the shaft. The base of the vibrator is polished ABS plastic and has a single push button that allows you to rotate through the three different vibration speeds. The fourth push of the button turns the vibrator off. Controls do not get much easier to use and the large button is easy to find even in complete darkness.

The base of the vibrator unscrews to reveal the battery compartment. The vibrator uses 2 AA batteries that are not included with it. The batteries are simply put in opposite directions from each other and then screw the cap back into place. A rubber o-ring seals the battery compartment and prevents water from getting inside allowing you to use this vibrator in or out of the water.

We gave this vibrator a rating of three stars from a possible five. While the price point for the vibrator make it an attractive choice for budget conscience shoppers, we would have liked to see this vibrator made from silicone, and with more advanced vibration. The vibration has three speeds, low, medium and high. We would have like to see from pulsation or escalation. The vibration speeds that it does have are powerful and very quiet for the speed, we just wish it was a little more advanced, but at the low price that it is offered it is a very nice vibrator.
